🌀 Hoopers — A gentle and playful activity
Strengthen your bond, focus, and your dog’s autonomy. An activity suitable for all dogs, including those with mobility challenges, senior dogs, and puppies (from 6 months).
What is Hoopers?
Hoopers is a discipline derived from agility, without jumps and without impact. The dog navigates a course made up of arches (hoops), short tunnels, barrels, and gates, guided at a distance by the handler’s voice and gestures. The goal: fluidity, precision, and shared enjoyment.
Benefits
- 🐾 Stronger relationship through clear, kind communication.
- 💡 Cognitive stimulation: listening, analysis, autonomy.
- ⚖️ Motor skills & coordination without excessive physical strain.
- ❤️ Accessible to all ages and breeds (puppies, adults, seniors).
- 🌿 Non-competitive activity, respecting the pace of each team.
How a session unfolds
After a short warm-up, the dog gradually discovers the elements of the course (arches, tunnels, barrels, etc.). We build simple sequences and then smooth, flowing combinations in a calm, positive atmosphere. Each session is tailored to the duo’s level, abilities, and goals.
Who is it for?
- ✅ Puppies from ~6 months (adapted courses)
- ✅ Adults seeking a gentle, stimulating activity
- ✅ Seniors wishing to maintain mobility
- ✅ Beginner or experienced teams, for leisure or discovery
Goal
To make Hoopers a moment of shared pleasure, built on trust, connection, and mutual understanding. The dog gains autonomy while remaining attentive to the handler.
